FAQs
Water Damage
How long does it take for a property to dry?
Drying times depend on a variety of factors, such as indoor temperature, humidity levels, location, type of affected materials, and time it took for services to begin. We want to take our time and ensure that everything is completely dry. Many times what we find is that the client notices that the carpet fibers are dry to the touch, but what they don’t know is that the padding underneath may still retain moisture and be wet.
Will using the property’s air conditioner or heater help the drying process?
First have an expert certify that your air conditioner or heater is safe to use. When approved, the use of such systems may help with aerating the property. Our skilled technicians will set your system’s settings that will be most effective. Please do not alter the temperature settings or the drying process may take longer than needed.
Will I need to move all the items in the affected room?
It all depends on what has been affected by water and how much water it has retained. Upon assessment, technicians will notify you if items should be relocated or if they’re able to remain inside the room.
Can I enter the area that is being dried?
You can, but we recommend that you keep all traffic to a minimum.
What type of equipment do you use for removing water and drying materials?
Our technicians use air movies and dehumidifiers to aerate rooms while removing excess moisture to prevent mold growth and we also use specially designed vacuums for water extraction.
